Saori Dubourg

Chair of the Management Board of Greiner AG

 

German executive Saori Dubourg has been Chair of the Management Board of Greiner AG, an Austrian plastics manufacturing and processing company, since 1 March. Prior to this she held various roles worldwide for BASF since 1996, and from May 2017 to February 2023 was a member of the board of executive directors of BASF SE, where her tasks included developing BASF’s global sustainability strategy in 2018.

As a member of the European Commission’s “Industry 2030” high-level industrial roundtable, she contributed to a joint vision paper on European industry in 2030. The report describes how Europe can position itself as a global leader by creating responsible values for the environment, society and the economy. With the value-to-society approach and the Value Balancing Alliance founded with partners in 2019, Dubourg pursues a system of holistic and future-oriented corporate governance und accounting, whereby a company’s overall performance should also be reported based on its monetarised contributions to society and the environment.

A member of the German Council for Sustainable Development since January 2020, Saori Dubourg was reappointed for a further term in January 2023.
