EEAC Network publishes paper on Covid19 response

The EEAC Network - a network that brings together 17 advisory bodies on climate change, the environment and sustainable development from 13 European countries and regions - has published a paper “Responding to Covid19: Building social, economic and environmental resilience with the European Green Deal”.

In response to the Covid19 pandemic, the Board of the EEAC Network (European Network of Advisory Councils on Climate Change, the Environment and Sustainable Development) hosted a meeting of council members, secretary-generals and directors of its member bodies to discuss the pandemic and what it will mean for the sustainable development and environmental agendas. The RNE was represented by its Secretary General Dr. Marc-Oliver Pahl.

There was a consensus that the pandemic reinforces the need to actively pursue an enhanced European Green Deal and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In this regard, the EEAC’s Chair has published a paper “Responding to Covid19: Building social, economic and environmental resilience with the European Green Deal” on 20 April, that you may find here.
