Acting Director of the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE)

Prof. Dr Imme Scholz holds a graduate degree (Diplom) in sociology and is Acting Director of the German Development Institute (DIE) in Bonn. She has worked for over 20 years with questions related to the interface between the environment and development, among other things land and forest usage in the Amazon, sustainable consumption, adaptation to climate change and the role of development policy in promoting international environmental cooperation.

Imme Scholz has been a member of the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) since 2013 and since 1996 has been a member of the Chamber for Sustainable Development of the umbrella body for Lutheran churches in Germany (EKD).
