Prof. Dr Imme Scholz

Deputy Chairwoman of the Council

Acting Director of the German Development Institute (DIE); honorary professor at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg

Imme Scholz has been a member of the Chamber for Sustainable Development of the umbrella body for Lutheran churches in Germany (EKD) since 1996. She has also held an honorary professorship for global sustainability and its normative foundations at the Centre for Ethics and Responsibility at the University of Applied Sciences Bonn-Rhein-Sieg since 2019.

Imme Scholz has been a member of the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) since 2013 and was reappointed in both 2016 and 2020. In 2020 she became Deputy Chairwoman of the Council.

Prof. Dr Imme Scholz holds a graduate degree (Diplom) in sociology and is Acting Director of the German Development Institute (DIE) in Bonn.
