Dr. Heinrich Graf von Bassewitz, Member of the Council

Landmark Sustainability 2005

The document „Wegweiser Nachhaltigkeit 2005“ (Landmark Sustainability 2005) has passed the Federal Cabinet on August 10. It hat been conceived by the permanent secretary´s committee for Sustainable Development, the so called „Green Cabinet“. The Federal Government documents the realization of the national sustainability strategy and develops its first draft of 2002 at the same time.

The Federal Government describes in its "Wegweiser Nachhaltigkeit 2005" the state of the art of the sustainabiliy policy on national and international level. Further great stress is laid on further topics as the challenges and consequences for the different policies resulting from the demografic changes within the German society.

The German Council for Sustainable development has contributed two chapters "Contributions to a balance of generations" and "Corporate Social Responsibiliy (CSR)" to “Landmark Sustainability“.
